What to Expect

Mansfield Center veterinary services – delivered with courtesy and respect!

As a client of Kirby Veterinary Hospital, you can expect our full attention to your pet’s needs.

Here’s what to expect during your visit:

When you arrive for your appointment, the reception staff will check you in and confirm important information about you and your pet.

Once checked in, one of our team members will see you into the exam room, weigh your pet and gather some basic information.

A veterinarian will then come in. They will ask more detailed questions, examine your pet and discuss their findings. They will talk about any questions or concerns you may have and plan further diagnostics or treatment as needed.

Any recommended diagnostics tests (i.e. blood work) and treatments will performed. Some of these tests are completed in-house, while others are sent out to an outside laboratory.

When the veterinary consultation is complete, a staff member will direct you back to our reception area where your billing and any additional needs will be handled.

Depending on the reason for your visit, you may expect a follow-up call from one of our veterinarians, veterinary technicians, or reception staff to discuss test results or get an update on how your pet has been doing since their visit. If you have any concerns, please let the staff member know and they will leave a note for the Doctor.

Our goal is to see all of our patients on time. We do have contingencies for emergencies, however, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible and strive to keep you informed. Please accept our apologies should this occur, and understand that the same dedication and courtesy will be provided to your pet should they ever need it.
